Terms and Conditions for Generator Hire
1. Definitions
1.1. “Company” refers to Event Generators.
1.2. “Customer” refers to the individual or company hiring the generator(s).
1.3. “Equipment” refers to the generator(s) and any other accessories or items provided for hire.
1.4. “Hire Period” refers to the period for which the equipment is hired.
2. Hire Period
2.1. The hire period begins on the agreed delivery date and ends on the agreed collection date unless extended in writing by mutual agreement.
2.2. Early termination or extension must be communicated and agreed upon in advance, and additional fees may apply.
3. Hire Charges
3.1. Hire charges are calculated based on the agreed rates and duration of the hire period. Additional charges, including transportation and setup, will be invoiced separately.
3.2. A deposit may be required before delivery. This deposit will be refunded after the equipment is returned in good working condition.
3.3. Payment must be made according to the terms set out in the invoice, typically within 30 days of the hire period ending unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4. Delivery and Collection
4.1. Event Generators will deliver the equipment to the agreed location and may provide setup services if requested.
4.2. The customer must ensure the site is accessible and suitable for delivery. Delays caused by inaccessibility may incur additional charges.
4.3. Collection will be arranged by Event Generators at the end of the hire period. The customer must ensure the equipment is ready for collection at the agreed time.
5. Customer Responsibilities
5.1. The customer must use the equipment solely for its intended purpose and follow all operational and safety instructions provided.
5.2. The customer is responsible for the equipment’s safety and condition throughout the hire period.
5.3. Any damage or loss of the equipment during the hire period is the customer’s responsibility, and the customer agrees to cover repair or replacement costs.
5.4. The customer must not attempt to repair or modify the equipment without prior written consent from Event Generators.
6. Liability and Insurance
6.1. The customer assumes responsibility for any damage, theft, or loss of the equipment during the hire period.
6.2. Event Generators will not be liable for indirect or consequential damages or losses to the customer or their property during the hire period.
6.3. The customer is responsible for ensuring appropriate insurance coverage for the equipment while it is on-site.
7. Health and Safety
7.1. The customer is responsible for complying with all safety regulations during the equipment’s use.
7.2. Event Generators will not be held liable for accidents, injuries, or damage arising from improper use of the equipment.
7.3. The customer must provide safe working conditions for Event Generators’ personnel during delivery, setup, and collection of the equipment.
8. Termination
8.1. Event Generators reserves the right to terminate the hire agreement if the customer breaches any of the terms, including misuse of the equipment or failure to pay on time.
8.2. Upon termination, Event Generators may collect the equipment immediately from the customer’s site.
9. Cancellation
9.1. Cancellations by the customer made within 48 hours of the scheduled delivery will result in a cancellation fee of [X%] of the total hire charge.
9.2. If Event Generators cannot provide the equipment due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be given.
